Motivation letter for Molecular Medicine Master program

May I get some help please assessing my motivation letter, It's my first time writing one and I have no clue how mine will be evaluated, heartfelt thanks in advance.

Dear Sir/Madam,

With this letter, I would like to express my interest and apply for a Master of Science degree in Molecular Medicine at Friedrich Alexander University.

While studying Biochemistry and Histology in my first year at college I was wondering about the value of learning such a subject, I thought it might be a basic understanding of how cells work in our body but through my college years I came to a clearer thought that Medicine is not about rough diagnosis and prescribing treatment to patients as we see doctors do in hospitals or clinics. In fact, Medicine is a broad Science with a wide range of different subspecialties other than the clinical ones.

Molecular Medicine has everything that I need to know, as I believe one needs to be multidisciplinary to understand Medicine, since they can not focus on the tiny little thing. It has biology, immunology, genetics, biotechnology, etc.. which makes one have a wider view and a better understanding of science.

I learned that today’s complex health care problems require a multidisciplinary approach; for example instead of treating the symptoms that appears on the body, this can be studied more specifically from the perspective of the body cells, which helps giving a clearer image of how the a disease happen, thus how it can be cured in a more definite way and that is how I want my future self to be.

However, the studies and research in these fields in my country are still to come in the future. I have a very strong desire to pursue a career in Molecular Biology and I decided to continue my studies in this area and receive MSc and further PhD degrees.

I am fully confident that I have sufficient qualification and experience as well as language proficiency, both in German and English, to successfully graduate with the Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine. I strongly believe that the Master course at your university will give me the opportunity to gain highly sought after skills and extend my knowledge that will equip me for career destinations across a diversity of molecular medicine subject areas in both industry and academia.
