Motivation letter for medicine Study in Sweden

Hi,

I'm a PhD student in Switzerland and want to study medicine in Sweden. Therefore I need to write a good motivation letter. As writing is not my cup of tea, I would need some help to correct it. Could you please take a look at it and tell me what do you think?

Thank you in advance
dobby

Here is the "first" draft of my letter

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is **** and with this letter I would like to introduce my candidature for the medicine study in your university.

I am a graduated student from the faculty of food sciences at the ****. During my study, I was tremendously interested in researches related to the human health. Hence, I decided to do a research on the intestinal microbiota as my dissertation thesis. I will finish my PhD in food biotechnology at **** in June of this year.

During my PhD thesis, I showed my abilities of fast learning, good adaptability to stress conditions and finding quick and reliable solutions to a large variety of problems. I also proved my capability to study in a foreign language since, as french speaker, I did all my studies in german. Personally, I am a person with a high perseverance level, someone who is motivated, enthusiast and ambitious. I am open-minded and interested to other cultures.

I hope to combine my experence and knowledge with my interest in medicine through gaining a degree in Medicine and eventually to be able to work in different countries around the world.

I enclose my CV for your considerations. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further details.

Yours faithfully

Hi, I normally tell people to cut their letters down to size but I think you could do with expanding yours a little bit. Why have you decided to become a doctor? What sort of work do you want to do around the world?
