Motivation Letter for master degree program in project management

This is my motivation letter for master degree program. I try to read samples for motivation letter , but I don't have that much writing skills and I am not a native English too. It's also my first motivation letter.

So, please, look through my letter and check any writing and grammar mistakes or some things that don't sound good in English or some thing I forget to mention or any thing that I shouldn't mention it too. I'll be thankful for all your comments.

Motivation letter for a management master

Dear Sir/Madam,

With this letter I hereby wish to state my interest to apply for a Master degree program in Project Management, for the 2015/2016 academic year. I always had an interest and passion for project/management, and therefore it is not surprising that I have work in a program section for US organization.
I'm a Yemeni female student who graduate with a bachelor’s degree from English Literature department, Art faculty - University of Taiz -Yemen in 2012. I have interesting in several important and relevant subjects such as linguistics and Research amongst many others which really help me later in my work and career.

I am working with International organization called International Medical Corps in several programs with senior donors like DFID, UNICEF and UNWFP with cooperation with governmental boards and other stakeholders related to Nutrition, Health and WASH. My big passion is on designing programs and its circle of implementation. I hope to create general interesting management system to let all the team and workers feel ownership of the program . At beginning, I worked in two programs health and nutrition but now there are five projects under the program; they are health, nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), C4D (Communication for Development) and social community mobilization. All these sectors, make me realize that I do not focus on the visual or function part, but it also emphasizes on the influence of human’s psychology and the surrounding environment. Besides that I learned how shared the community that you did the projects for can made the achievements from the project sustainable as much as possible. Thanks to the new knowledge, capacity which facilitate the tasks of implementation and let me gained on my work. I realized that where ever projects take place, it have a lot of deeper meanings that effect on the behaviors, culture, community and environment. The university taught me to work with team and be cooperative with my college- mates.

Soon after starting my current work, I realized that the management was the specialty that I really want to focus on.
I work in the program section but If have a specific knowledge in management, I will be more creative
I personally believe that my experiences and education make me a strong candidate for this particular opportunity of project management. Thanks to the numerous trainings, I have gotten, it gave me experience in the project cycle management, teamwork, intercultural management, and in conflict resolution.
While applying for this program and for a scholarship, I perfectly realize that the competition is tough. I feel, however, that I have many strengths that make me eligible for the program. My first quality is my ability to work in group, as attested by surveys that I share in as SQUEAK and KAP which involved working in collaboration with others. This is also a quality I benefit from in my work which is fighting malnutrition. That said, as part of my activities in IMC, I tour poor community to raise awareness among poor families regarding the dangers of malnutrition. This experience helped me develop my organizational skills as I am responsible of the organization of the health and nutrition program. It also offered me the opportunity to practice public speaking which is a fundamental component of my work. Moreover, the fact that my curiosity about different cultures in the world would foster my integration in a multicultural environment.

I am aware of the highly competitive demands of this master’s program, but I am confident that I have the ability, ambition and motivation to exceed the requirements and I will do my best to excel within the management master program.
Getting master degree program in project management will come along with my work experience in project management
I am sure that my knowledge background is deep concern on Projects management and willingness to make a progress, combined with practical experience which will make me a competitive candidate and will add diversity to the chosen master’s degree program.

I am interesting in learning and experiencing new skills and how to manage groups and teams. I am organizing meetings, conferences and volunteered in workshops. During the workshops, ,we organized for the session, we had to deal with around hundred visitors. I was ordered to do things that I did not expect to do it in past. For sure people need flexibility, comfort and to always stay calm.

I am pleased to be applying to the Shandong University of Science and Technology, project management program.
The year of my job focused on manage the programs and building capacity. But I was not equipped with the managerial tools that are fundamental to evolve in the project world and to become one of tomorrow’s key leaders. The Project management program would provide a large step towards reaching that goal.
There are many competitive programs but Project Management program is the one that appeals to me most for various reasons.

Firstly, Shandong University is highly prestigious and its Project Management Master is ranked among the top global Masters in Management. From all the testimonies I have read, it is clear that this Master program would open me the doors to the thriving world of Projects, working in well-renowned companies and organizations. It enabling me to launch a successful international career. Secondly, Shandong’s project Management program, unlike other programs, is dedicated to students like me who have no much management background. I would thus be sure to gain a high level training with the theory and practice I would need to get into the Project management world. Further, Shandong Project Management program promotes students mobility, as they could spend an entire semester in China, while at the same time experiencing life in China. Being profoundly attracted to the Chinese culture and language, this would provide me with a unique human experience along with an incredible opportunity to learn firsthand about the Project in one of the leaders of the global economy. Finally, this program brings together participants from all over the world, so I would be in contact with diverse cultures and I would also develop an international network.

In fact, China is an advanced country in education and development, it has high quality of education system and has also become a major destination for international students. As of 2013, China is the most popular country in Asia for international students, and ranks third overall among countries.

Furthermore, studying in China will help me to get a great education that can meet with my country needs and my educational ambition. It will also give me the opportunity to meet talented people from all over the world, which surely will broaden my horizons for prospect future.

Additionally, project management program in China are strong and have very good reputation, therefore I think choosing China will be the most suitable and convinced option to get the master degree.
