I am applying to your Master program of xxx starting in October 2011.



My secondary education specializing in commerce led me to my enrolment at WU. I am continuing my academic career with the study of Business Law and Business Administration. In June 2011 I will graduate with a Bachelor of Laws degree, which concentrates on profound legal education interrelating with a focus on business administration. With my second degree I am nurturing my passion for management studies and aiming to gain further skills for a well-prepared start in your program.



Throughout my whole academic career I experienced a strong passion of solving issues through elaborated strategies. Hence, I became fully acquainted with your exciting program allowing me to both combine my interest in learning more about methods and ways to drive sustainable company success as well as to nurture my entrepreneurial spirit.



Through recent studies on cases involving the organizations NASA, Timberland and Danone, I had to apply new approaches in developing and implementing corporate solutions, working in a team of international students. Moreover, I learnt how enthusiam can motivate others and led my teammates to outstanding performance.



Within the range of my course I also had the fascinating opportunity to spend a semester in Australia and completed an internship in London this February. These residences did shape my international attitudes to life. Finding my own way in an exciting environment evoked my ability to adapt to customs totally different to mine and outweighed long-established prejudices. Astonishing experiences outweighed the bad ones and I can now count on friends spread all over the globe.



Throughout a strongly developed affection towards physical exercise and 10 years of semi-professional football I got to know how to work hard to achieve my goals, try harder when I failed and most important I learnt what it really means to be part of a team.



While complementing my academic performance with temporary placements at Austrian firms in various industries, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to take insights in professional operations related to my studies. These internships not only broadened my professional and personal horizon but also put me in front of tasks I have never processed before. (Did I resign? No, because)(However,) One out of many things I learnt was that “Failure is one of the surest stepping stones of success”, as Dale Carnegie once said.



The sum of all my past experiences made me to the self-discipline, venturous and inquisitive person I am today. Your Master in xxx would not only offer me the opportunity to gain expert knowledge at the forefront of relevance and discovery, but also to study in a desired international environment. Moreover, by combining theoretical and specialized education in the first semester, a forthcoming “hands-on” business project and the opportunity to go abroad, really appeals me.

I am confident that I also will bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to your program and enrich it with my ambitious and open nature. Furthermore, my domestic background and international experience as well as my interdisciplinary education will add more diversity to your program.
