Dear XXXX Team,

I am Name Surname, 1st year Master’s student in Education Administration program of School of Art and Science at Ilia State University. I am strongly willing to participate in the two-week exchange program within the Tempus Mahatma program and visit Masaryk University in Czech Republic in Autumn 2014. This exchange visit really means a lot for my professional aspirations and for my studying.

First of all as a student of master’s program in education administration I want to get foreign experience in this field, how the students of EU country’s university do, what specific subjects or programs do they have and especially, as a future researcher I am extremely interested in the research related issues i.e. what kind of research do the conduct and what are the actual issues today for them which they explore. Finding the answers for these questions will help me to choose the right ways for my future studies.

Currently, I work as a specialist in public relations office in one of the Georgia’s regional universities – XXXXX University. Since I have graduated my Bachelor’s program I am working in educational field and most of the time at the higher educational system, so issues related to this field is very close to me. With this study visit you will give me a chance to explore higher educational system in other foreign country.

Besides, as a member of public relations office I have gathered a lot of unanswered questions which will be resolved with the experience and knowledge which I will gain within the study visit. At this time I am working with issues related to alumni and regional funds and NGOs. As these trends are now for almost all Georgian universities I would like to find out how the foreign universities solve the problems connected to alumni and business and especially, how European universities do this. The gained experience and knowledge will help me to work more productively and determinably in this field.

And the last, why this study program is very important and useful for me is that in the close future I have to conduct the career education program for the students of the university where I work. This program is being implemented within the Tempus CASEDE (Developing Student Career Services in Georgia). This field is very now for Georgia, we as the teachers have very small experience and I believe the study visit will give me a chance to gain more knowledge and experience in this field and to become the professional in university’s services in the future.

Thank you for your interest in my application and I hope to be granted a chance of participation in the two-week study program in Czech Republic. Considering my experience and future career plans I think I will benefit significantly from this visit. I assure you that I would be fully and energetically involved in all the activities. I look forward to hearing from you soon and I thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
