Hey guys, I am applying for exchange program at TU Muenchen. They ask for a motivation letter stating reasons why I choose them. I have written one below. Please help me to modify it!!!:)
Dear Sir/Madam: I am writing to apply for the TUMexchange program at Technische Universitaet Muenchen in the winter semester of 2012. Having been studying German for two years, I am ready to explore the genuine local culture in Germany. After reviewing several exchange programs, in consultation with my academic advisor and German teacher, I am convinced that TU Muenchen has the best exchange program which perfectly fulfills my academic goals and aspirations. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Nanyang Technological University. With a distinguished academic performance based on the challenging curriculum, I am proud of my achievements. Being one of the top students in my school, I continuously work hard in the realm of electricity and electronics. I am passionate about engineering, and this is my root motivation to study at TU Muenchen, given that it possesses the highest reputation in the engineering field. While my academic career is vitally important to me, so are my extracurricular activities. I am the main committee in German Society at my school and in charge of promoting as well as organizing society’s activities. Our annual event is the Oktoberfest held at the end of September, during which we summon students and staffs to celebrate with German sausages and beers. At the same time we will also invite officers from German embassy and DAAD to give speaks. As one eyewitness is better than ten hearsays, I always dream of exposing myself to Bavarian culture and participating the original Oktoberfest in Muenchen During the past two years at Nanyang Technological University, I took German Language Level one, two and three as elective courses. Though German has never been easy for a neophyte to master, I have coped with it well with great enthusiasm and endeavor. Having armed myself with German language, I am confident that my exchange at TU Muenchen will be delightful and meaniful. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your positive response. Sincerely,
