Motivation letter for Erasmus

Hello dears, I would like to study psychology in Sofia University during next semester via Erasmus and untill the end of January I must send a motivation letter. Could you please, look at this and check it? I would be very very glad! Sonya, xx

Dear Sir o Madam,
With this letter I would like to express my interest in studying at the Sofia University „Saint Kliment Ohridski“ in Bulguria as an Erasmus student during winter term 2014/2015.
First of all, I would like to give you some background information about me. I grew up in a small city in eastern part of Slovakia and when I was younger I dreamt about travelling around the world, discovering new countries and cultures, and also about studying in the capital city of Slovakia, in Bratislava. And this little dream came true. Now, after three years in Bratislava, I try to finish bachelor degree in a program Social and Work Psychology, and I feel that it´s time for another dream. It´s time for Erasmus!
I consider Erasmus not only as the option for studying abroud, but also as the option for personal development and being a part of new system, new society. We all know, that every society is different and specific and I´m sure, that it´s same with universities and faculties. Every university and faculty has its own way of teaching, rating system and study programms. My main aim is therefore to enrich my studying and get to know a new insight on studying work psychology, application of psychological methods and activities, solving problems, working in teams and discussions about new topics.
As I said in introduction, I´m student of Social and Work psychology and what I like about this program is the intervention between psychology and practise in workplace and possibility of development. Especially I´m interested in human resources and in the future I would like to teach at university. I also realise that now it´s the right time to do something for my career, and that´s also reason why I´m member of SAŠAP1. As a member of SAŠAP I try to find what students of psychology are interested in, what are they missing and would like to learn. I try to bring it them via various discussions, conferencies and trainings.
Erasmus is therefore the best way how can I develop skills, acquire new knowledges and experiences and get new advices and recommendations from new lectors. I´m sure it will enrich me both personally and academically. The reason why I have chosen Bulgaria is, that I have visited this country about 5 times, but only for holiday. I´m sure that this attractive country offers more than sunny beach and sea. I would be very pleased if I might get to know a real, different of mine, life in Bulgaria and be a part of this life. The Sofia University is interestingly located and offers a broad range of subjects which are taught in English. How I saw on university websites one of the faculties offers interesting programme for Erasmus students, which corresponds with my study programme. For me, it would be a great opportunity to get a different perspective on issues.
I believe that Erasmus and studying of psychology at Sofia University is right choice for me. It´s challenge and I´m ready to accept it. I know it´s not gonna be only about parties, friends and laughs, and it takes more of time to learn in English due to the fact that I am not native speaker but these barriers can not discouruge me in achieving my aims.
In the end, I hope that my motivation letter convinces you and I will be chosen as a member of Erasmus program. Thank you for assessment my request. I look forward to your positive response.

Hi there, Sonya, I saw a few spelling mistakes you can correct : ) Bulguria – Bulgaria travelling – traveling abraud – abroad programms – programs practise– practice realise – realize conferencies – conferences knowledges – knowledge gonna – going to (it is not a mistake, but it is pretty colloquial) discouruge – discourage PS I wouldn’t write about Sunny Beach, but about sunny beaches, if I were you.
