Motivation letter for business masters

The phenomenon of globalization, with the help of technology, has merged many countries' economies, integrating them into one interdependent and interplaying unit in the world market; no boundaries limit the exchange of goods and services. For example, buying a French car in the US benefits China (for its production of the car), France (for the design) Italy (for the final outlook), the US (for its sale), England (for spare parts) and, most probably, Germany for the engineering.
My current diploma in Business Management helped me discover myself and acknowledge my passion in this field, especially in the world wide market. This, together with the work experiences I accumulated, structured my interests and built in me the necessary motivation and dedication to continue my studies in International Business Economics.

To begin with, the Lebanese American University, being of international standards, gave me the opportunity to discover and experience the crust of globalization and its benefits. Receiving exchange students from all over the world whom attended our courses enriched our knowledge in the diversity of economical environments. Moreover, interacting with those students was an initiation of my interest in learning about the world wide economy.

On the other hand, my work experience at Securite Assurance a well known Insurance company in our region, for which I have covered the position of Market developer for a year and a half, gave me the chance to expand my knowledge and interest in managerial, marketing and economical skills in the regional market as in the world, since Lebanon is a springboard to our surrounding Gulf countries. I had the opportunity to visit Jordan and many more GCC countries witnessing and participating in the distribution and development of travel insurance products. Furthermore, my work experience gave me the opportunity and privilege of meeting and expanding my network of multicultural friends and business acquaintances throughout our surrounding and Europe. Mastering the two languages English and French in addition to my native language Arabic, I expanded my horizons and feel now ready to grasp the opportunity City University could offer me to become an active player in the international business scene.

During the summer of 2010, I have had the chance to visit London, interact with university students and discuss their master degrees, whereby I came to highly appreciate the quality and educational depth of a Master in International Business Economics. I have decided to pursue my studies in London, being the latter a recognized world's multicultural hub. City University is my choice, since I am confident it can provide me with the further specialized knowledge and environment I, at this point, necessitate. I have had the chance to meet a fellow City University Master graduate (now University professor, PhD in organizational behavior in the institution of AUB (American University of Beirut), Lebanon). The latter's evaluation of the University was decisive directing my Master studies' choice.

Finally, I am deeply convinced that this Masters being a necessity nowadays fits and complements my skills and aspirations, this choice being based on my personal work and educational history. My long term goal is to work in an international company and I believe this study programmed is what will help me reach my career goal with confidence and with a competitive and solid educational basis.
