I have read several motivation letters, but I am not sure what kind of approach I should follow.
Here I have some ideas but I literally have no clue on how to join these together. Here it is:
Please, could you give this letter a read? I would really appreciate a remark or correction. Or if you could give me advice on how to make a motivation letter, I would love it.
Dear committee:
About me: Some people may have had an easier life, some may have had it harder. But without doubt my life has been hard enough to genuinely teach me how to appreciate an opportunity. It has taught me to be assertive, to either change adversity or protect what I like. It has given me the courage to seek more ambitious goals.
I am the son of a single mother, a smart woman who sacrificed her professional career as a chemist, reduced her goals, stayed middle-class, and disregarded her ambition to become as successful as her college classmates, who are now post-graduates pursuing a career abroad, all of this to secure my chances of getting further. She allowed me to study a third language at the best university in the region, to learn to program in Visual Basic,
This semester I will be completing the first year of university, expecting nothing but the chance to demonstrate my knowledge and skills but mainly my passion for learning and solving problems. I am eager to learn artificial intelligence because I have realized it can be applied to solve many of today's problems.
I love computers and ever since my first laptop I have been using them to teach me. Now, I want to teach computers how to adapt to the problems I have encountered in my country and the world.
For example, teaching a computer 'object recognition' and real-time translation could solve the main adversity of learning a language overseas: the lack of context. When learning Mandarin I found that the grammar structures are quite similar to the ones we use in Spanish, so why was it so hard to learn? Well, unlike English you just don't see Mandarin in your everyday life, and if you could see it, it would be hard to understand the characters. So with the development of google lenses, what if you could just see every word attached to its meaning at anytime? You would be associating that very word with an image, not with more words. This is a very efficient way to learn vocabulary.
