Motivation letter for architecture studies in Prague

Hello, I would like to present you my profile as I am eager to start my architectural studies.

My name is anonymous, I'm 22 years old from Israel and I have finished my two years of army service not long ago.

"Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness", this quote of the great architect Frank Gehry perfectly describes my belief in architecture.

Ever since I was a little girl I always enjoyed drawing and doing crafts such as jewellery and painting on wood, I found it very fulfilling and satisfying. Over the years my curiosity grew bigger as I started travelling and seeing new cultures and styles, it inspired me to investigate more about architecture and the influence of it around the world.

When I was thinking about what I would like to study, I took into consideration the things that I love doing as I believe that your work should also be something you like doing and not only for earning money. And those things include math and art.

I have always enjoyed mathematics. I love solving logistic problems and riddles, also it was my favourite subject at school besides art.

I have always wanted to improve my art to the next level and in studying architecture I can do so in the drawing courses that the school provides, and in addition, to use my creativity, mathematical skills and logic.

I always knew that I would like to study in Europe. I was here last year travelling with my friend and I just fell in love with Prague and decided that I would like to study here.

I enjoy the architecture of the building and churches here very much. The art sculptures on the buildings are just breath taking. I appreciate the details that are put in every single building, each one is unique but they all still fit together to create the gorgeous scenery of Prague. I find it so beautiful, mesmerizing, fascinating and very inspiring. I can find myself just walking around the town's centre for hours and admiring it.

I love Israel's ancient architecture style very much, it's very interesting and has a lot of history behind it. it is very different from the Czech Republic, but I find myself more connected and intrigued by Prague's astonishing design.
