Dear English Native Speakers, could you check my motivation letter for a scholarship? I would be very gratefull if you can make some comments on structure, subject and grammar. Don't be shy to write if you have any ideas how to improve it)
I would like to express my appreciation for the opportunity to apply for the DAAD scholarship, which could give a great impetus for my further academic and professional career. My name is Olena and I am from Kyiv. In summer of 2012 I obtained a Bachelor Degree in “Publishing Business and Editing” in National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyivan Polytechnical Institute”. My aim since the first day in University was to continue my Master studies abroad. So now I am applying for a Study Scolarship at your Service so I can continue my media studies and make a post graduate course at one of the German universities. During my studies I have always been interested in modern technologies in publishing business, especially in online-journalism, and models of its development. Most of my term projects were in these areas and my last project considered to the automated editing of online texts. This project presented all existing methods of automated editing and their application in the online. However, focus was on the improving of spell-checkers and on the creating of new opportunities of editing texts in the internet. In addition to that, my preferences to the new media brought me last year to the course “Digital Future of Journalism” which was held at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. At that course the international professors are teaching journalists to make a qualitative online media product concentrating not only at the creativity and technologies, but also on the business strategies which have to help to sell the informational product. It is not surprising that my interest to online-media influence on my professional career. After writing for the local newspaper at school time, at the University I re-trained myself into an internet-journalist. Starting from the outset of my studies I have begun to work part-time at the web-site, specializing on sport. It have been already four years as I am combining my University studies with professional work, as, for my opinion, the practice is very important in media career. My desire to study in Germany has its grounds in many reasons. First of all the German educational system is one of the most renowned and famous. It is organized, with very good infrastructures, very good teaching staff, perspectives for the students and interesting research work. The academic environment, the opportunities you are given to learn and improve at your field are also very attractive facts. Compared to Ukraine, German Universities provide studies of high quality and especially in the field I want to continue my studies: Mass Media and Communication. Germany has so many postgraduate studies in this field where as offers only a handful of them. Another fact that motivated me to apply for a scholarship is the German culture. It has a rich cultural and spiritual heritance. I would like to see for my own and live in the land of Goethe, Schiller, Rilke, Mann, Hegel, Schopenhauer and Berthold Brecht. They are only some examples of German writers and poets I admire. I would also like to live and study in Germany so I can enrich my language skills with studying German. Besides my native language, Ukrainian, I speak Russian, English and French, so German language can supplement my academic and professional merit. From all above you can see that my educational background as well as my working experience guarantees that I can adjust well and offer a lot while studying to the fellow students and to the university I will be attending. My personal intention is to make a Master on the field of Mass Media and Communication at one of the German Universities, which can give me a great opportunity to find out more about European principles of media business and journalism, implementation of which in my motherland could significantly improve the Ukrainian mass media.

The was written that phrase in the requirments to the motivation letter for this scholarship: "Persuasive and detailed description of professional and personal reasons on the planned studies in Germany, and a description of prior learning". So do you think it would be ok that kind of letter?
