I am writing with reference to the Phd Program .

I studied Computers Engineering at the *********** from ******* to ******. During my studies, I was always a curious and research-active student and in the last two years I worked for the computers department, more precisely in the industrial information systems laboratory.

After completing my degree, I joined the computers engineering department ************ as teaching assistant. During the last five years, the emphasis of my teaching was fundamental related with programming principles and languages, logical systems and supervisor of final degree projects. In the last year I also was teaching other diverse disciplines such as economics and introduction to bioinformatics. I found the last topic, bioinformatics, to be very interesting, because it is a multidisciplinary that involves a conjunction of different areas that I like, such as molecular biology, programming languages, data analysis, distributed systems, etc.

With my solid knowledge and background at computer sciences level, I desire to give a new impulse to my career in computational biology field. I firmly believe that joining your program would be the right choice for me, which offers an exciting inter-disciplinary scenario. I am aware that my knowledge is limited in many areas but I am eager to learn, to contribute and to have my knowledge complemented by that of recognized scientists from different disciplines, who collaborate in this program.
