Motivation letter for a management master degree

Dear Sir/ Madam

During the past four years, I studied industrial engineering at university of science and culture in Tehran. The emphasis of my studies was about planning and optimization of production and manufacturing processes. But I also learned about other diverse topics such as principles of industrial management, quality control, economics and project management. I wish to state my interest to apply for the Master degree program in Project Management. I've always had an interest and passion for project management, and therefore I believe that this course is ideally suited to me.

Moreover, I am sure that having this knowledge will allow me to better understand management principles. With all the uncertainly and changes in this world and also many hardships that my country is facing with, political, economic, and technological, I believe that project management must have a solid understanding, supported by a strong academic foundation, of how to guide and manage projects of companies effectively through these challenging time. I realized that management is the specialty that I really want to focus on. So I want to obtain a master’s degree in project management to further my career aspirations of becoming part of a senior management team.

No education is complete without experience. I know that education and reality are different but your program will allow me to accomplish. I will be able to adapt and modify the theoretical constructs as required in order to meet company’s needs. In fact, this program is dedicated to students like me who have a great interest in project management with an admissible background. So, I would be sure to gain a high level of training with the theory and practice that I would need to get into the project management world. I believe obtaining this master’s degree will provide the advanced background for me to be to anticipate and react to ever-changing requirements.

I am aware of the highly competitive demands of this master’s program, but I am confident that I have the ability, ambition and motivation to exceed the requirements and I will do my best to excel in it. A master degree program in project management will perfectly complement my prior education and I am sure that combination of my academic background and determination will make me a competitive candidate. For sure this program will help me develop my organizational skills and abilities to work successfully and effectively in groups.

Also, Norway is an advanced country in education and development; it has a high quality education system and has also become a major destination for international students. So studying in Norwegian university of science and technology will help me to get a great education that can meet with my country's needs and my educational ambition. It will also give me the opportunity to meet talented people from all over the world, which surely will broaden my horizons and improve my future prospects. Nevertheless, I will respond to my curiosity for the best ways of leading projects and also enjoy watching people and country grow and achieve seemingly impossible tasks.
