A desire to set new benchmarks for growth and to become a better business strategist with a sense of initiative, motivated me to pursue the Bachelor in Business Administration at ABC University. I believe that my background has instilled in me the qualities required to meet the rigors of this course, and subsequently, a career in the world of business. I bring along with me a strong grasp of fundamentals in Entertainment and Media Business, unique but relevant work experience, along with an insatiable desire to learn, a penchant for teamwork and leadership, and a zest for challenges.
A great leader aspires to do more than just accomplish the objective. Until I offered to be a part of a team of the marketing department and to participate in business development actively, I did not recognize how valuable the “more” could be. I began balancing my school work and my part time job as a Social Media and Content Manager in “XXX” Management Company. That role had me implementing and carrying out projects, right from the initial brainstorm, to the evaluation, and development. I figured out how everything happens; initial research, outreach and communication, promotion, advertisement, project maintenance, execution, and evaluation. Nevertheless, It often took a tremendous effort to get a team works together, but in the end, it was well worth it. Through this experience, I learned that leading is as much about accomplish your objective as it about holding a team together.
On a larger scale, studying Economics at High School has shown me the fundamental role economics plays in our lives. It explains how items priced, how markets ebb and flow, how the laws of demand and supply determine so much of what we do and condition the environment around us. Economics also provides knowledge of how business developments work and their impacts which are likely to succeed and those that will almost certainly fail.
My personal self-taught development through the theory of music production and audio engineering took years of patience and dedication, data analysis, discrepancy identification, an open-minded approach to problem-solving, being concise when self-evaluating taught me how to be adaptable and calm when under pressure to achieve results in the most time-efficient manner. I realized that creating a song has similar properties to creating a successful business venture. These skills would be highly transferable to a business environment.
As a BBA graduate, my near-term plan is to obtain a position in strategy and business development department at an international entertainment company. This will enable me to identify and assess market opportunities, effectively promote and launch new products and grow to senior leadership positions in the business. It will help me towards building competencies in management and marketing and achieving my goal of being a successful entrepreneur. Work experience in a multi-national corporation would also bring in environments to team up with individuals from a range of backgrounds. Long term, I intend to start an ambitious company specializing in Artist Management. The goal will be to help talented up-and-coming artists with managing their professional careers, developing and marketing their brand and organizing their tour operations.
A global BBA program thus becomes essential towards achieving critical goals. The ABC BBA Program will not only enable understanding at the greater level of business complexity but also broaden my interdisciplinary thinking. The program covers a wide range of business topics, such as Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Business Planning, Accounting, Innovation Management and ICT Management. As a future business leader, I would like to become an expert in these fields, capable of analyzing and solving practical problems an enterprise may face. The Undergraduate Program will thus help me train my instincts through the case study method of teaching and develop a structured approach towards refining ideas and developing fail-proof implementation plans. Moreover, Management Projects will help me learn a range of techniques for managing customer relationships and improve my analytical and academic skills as well as my professional communication skills. I will learn to think critically and to present my findings in a concrete and concise manner.
Furthermore, I wish to enhance my leadership, presentation, and social skills as I will have to unite a team behind a shared strategic vision. Specifically, I would like to delve deeper into the psychology behind human behavior. What makes people tick and drives them forward? How to motivate teams and individuals to perform at their highest level? How to become more adept at persuasion? Large corporations increasingly dominate the world in which we live, and these dynamic organizations not only reflect but create the values of contemporary societies, shaping our beliefs and lifestyle choices.
Last but certainly not least, University of ABC BBA program has a strong international mindset environment. Intensive courses in foreign languages will both expand my international career potentials and make me more flexible to other cultures; it will also help me form new connections and widen my socializing skills to a global level. The cultural diversity of the program will challenge me to strengthen my team skills in a cross-national environment and to appreciate a variety of viewpoints of from multiple perspectives. Consequently, that would enable me to devise complex solutions and make more accurate decisions.
Nevertheless, I assume that studying abroad may be the most challenging step in my life so far. However, this decisive step forward will be an opportunity which will broaden my perspective both professionally and personally.
In closing, I believe my background gives me the capacity for fearless and open-minded thinking that is needed to meet the challenges of the business industry’s shifting landscape. I am confident that Business Administration program will strengthen that foundation and help me to become the kind of dynamic leader who can bring the vision for a company to life and be at the forefront of business’s structural shift. In turn, I will enrich the program by enabling fellow students and professors to benefit from my ambitious and open nature. I will bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to your program, and I am sure to exceed your expectations, because of both my academic and interpersonal skills as well as unique experience gained.
I sincerely hope that I qualify all the requirements for admission into your BBA Program and that my application is favorably received by the admissions committee.
