Dear Sir or Madam





My name is Rafael, I am a 20-year-old student of Mechanics Engineering in State University of X, and I am currently on the 4th semester of the course. Hereby I inform my desire to participate of the double degree program that is offered by your institution.

It has always been my greatest dream to work in the aeronautical industry, mainly because it deals with cutting edge technology and is always motivating engineers all over the world to develop new equipments to make distances smaller with more comfort and safety. Although the aeronautical industry is growing in Brazil, I know that the development of new technologies in this area is still concentrated in Europe and USA. That is why I feel the necessity of going abroad to study and acquire both, technical and cultural knowledge.

I see this double degree program as a great opportunity for my professional project, because it would allow me to study in a country that has a strong aeronautical industry, and in an institution that stimulates the integration of studies and practice, which is very important.

Personally, I consider myself a dynamic, perseverant and organized person. I like to think ahead and beyond regular solutions for ordinary problems. During the last year I participated of the aero design team and I have really learned a lot in that period. I acquired new technical knowledge, but most important than that I have learned the values of teamwork and of organization to accomplish tasks in time.

I am sure that this double degree program is a two-way road, because I can certainly offer you all of my effort to study as hard as I can and you can help me achieve an important goal in the way of my professional life.
