Dear Sirs,
I am writing in response to the xxx program advertised on your web site. As xxx you are the top address for a business chemistry student as I am. Your care regarding sustainable development reflects my way of thinking as the unique method for long-term success. Since I am in the last year of my studies I am strongly motivated to put my theoretical knowledge acquired at university into practice. I would like to gain professional experience in the field of marketing in a four month internship in Barcelona, Spain, starting in September 2011.
My degree course gives me the great opportunity to take a diverse look on the chemistry sector from the scientist's and the businessman's view which enables me to see the bigger picture behind it. In my business studies I had the opportunity to deepen my management knowledge and to focus on marketing in particular. As a consequence of my science studies I gained experience in practical laboratory work that trained me to think analytically and act in a productive and methodical manner. Moreover, I learned to evaluate result scientifically. As an Erasmus scholar in Zaragoza, Spain, I am taking the opportunity to broaden my mind within a foreign culture to which I feel strongly connected. Besides this, I am improving my language skills in English and Spanish and getting in contact with other people from around the world. This experience and extra-curricular workshops and language courses trained me to communicate efficiently and effectively. The work experience as a sales assistant has taught me to operate quickly and effectively in an organized way. I demonstrated responsibility in my alternative civilian service where I was required to care about old and disabled persons. Furthermore I supervised groups of medicine students in their laboratory. In my spare time I am dedicated to travelling and learning other languages. I enjoy challenging with others in sports and being creative in playing and composing music in a band with which I performed several concerts.
I would be pleased to discuss my CV as well as my qualifications with you in more detail at an personal interview. In case you might have any questions or need further informations please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
