I have written a motivation letter recently. I would be very thankful if you could help me write a better one.

My name is ………my name……… and I am from the Department of Biology at University of .., …. I have recently graduated with a master’s degree in cell and molecular biology from the Faculty of Sciences at University of … (supervised by Prof. …name…). The 4 years Microbiology in B.Sc. and 2 years M.Sc. program have formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in cellular and molecular basis of biology. I am very much interested in pursuing my research carrier at a more advanced level in the area of Immunology and Cancer Biology endorsing necessary knowledge to cure related disorders. In my master’s thesis, I studied the effect of ……….. gene polymorphism on female infertility. I have submitted my article in journal of ……………….. and it is still under review.
Moreover, during this period I became familiar with different types of techniques, such as PCR methods including RFLP-PCR and AS-PCR, Eukaryotic Genomic DNA and RNA extraction, Electrophoresis, Karyotyping, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Spectroscopy, Tissue Embedding and Sectioning, MedCalc, EndNote, primers designing with Oligo7 and have experiences in animal experimentation. Since I was very interested to learn more cell and molecular techniques, I participated in the 2012 summer school of Pasteur Institute in …… to learn more techniques such as eukaryotic cell culturing.
I believe that PhD is a way to profound knowledge and unique competence in related fields. Studying PhD at Institute ………name………… will help me to improve skills and develop new ones, having a good background for future career. Furthermore, Dr. …name….'s field of research and her great publications have strengthened my resolve to study at this institute. I want to be in an outstanding educational system to gather relevant work experience and to use your excellent facilities.
