Hello to all! I am in need of some help with reviewing my motivation letter for my British Cultural Studies Master programme admission. I would really appreciate some suggestions

So, here it goes:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I wish to apply to the British Cultural Studies Master Programme in the English Philology Department at your university for the academic year 2013 – 2014. My career ambition is to become a political and cultural activist against societies subdued to corporate and political interest. The interdisciplinary nature of your programme allows for the next step in the pursuit of my research prospects in the realm of literary, cultural and political studies.
Having finished the three-year undergraduate programme in English and Neo – Greek Philology at your faculty has enabled my critical understanding of literary concepts and cultural phenomena, as well as endowed me with the theoretical tools one needs to successfully manage the knowledge requirements of your M.A. programme. Concerning my motivation to pursue a Master Degree in British Cultural Studies, the interaction with nationalism studies in the course of my undergraduate studies has been crucial. In this respect, I have been interested with the issues of cultural and institutional imperialism and their effects on various dominated societies. In my future research plans I have included the study of Romanian society as an ever-changing under the twists of globalization and Hollywood-induced consumerism; another such research plan targets Romanian political corruption. Also, the encounter with
critical discourse analysis has been a decisive factor in my choosing this M.A. programme, as it opened the prospects of an interdisciplinary outlook upon socially-determined manifestations, which your programme also promotes.
In the prior educational cycle I have been among the best students of my generation. I have obtained excellent results in literature and culture-related topics, and in the summer of 2012 I was awarded a scholarship for a summer course in Neo – Greek language and culture at the Faculy of Philosophy of the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. Furthermore, following my interest in power-relations and
critical discourse analysis,
I wrote a B.A. final thesis in which I analysed Irvine Welsh's work
Trainspotting and the ways in which national identity creates and maintains power within the Scottish society which the text depicts. For this paper I obtained a maximum grade.
Furthermore, I consider that my good critical and analytical skills, as well as my interdisciplinary perspective upon literature and society will be of great aid in my future endeavours as a cultural studies student. Complementing these skills are my ability to work and organize groups excellently, as well as my determination to give my best in whatever project I may start. I am truly excited when I read the department's preference of interactive, “over a cup of tea” discussions over highly formal classes, as I believe that this level of intimacy between students and professors not only gives way for better communication, but also creates an environment in which one can study effortlessly.
Keeping in mind my past performances in your faculty, I strongly believe that I will bring a great deal of academic fervour to your programme. Given my inclination to support mutually exclusive theories, as well as for my curiosity and enthusiasm, I am sure to meet your expectations and be a valuable presence in your collective.
Sincerely yours,
Cristina
