Dear Suzana,

My name is Heba and I would like to express my interest in applying for the ESC IN CROATIA Volunteer IN Murter – WIN

I have a genuine passion for working with children, so I have always dreamed about becoming an activist for child rights with UNICEF, and I believe that this project would help me attain this goal.

I graduated from Cairo University with a Bachelor of Education (kindergarten) in 2012. Also, I completed a Higher Diploma in Child Education in 2014.

I wanted to study art because I love drawing & painting then I used my talent to teach children by activities.

I have been a kindergarten teacher for ten years. I teach by IGCSE British System.

So I have a wonderful experience with teaching and caring children, and my level in English is B2. I will plan and organize indoor and outdoor activities like stories, songs, painting & drawing. I will also help the children with sports, and teach them healthy habits. I can organize events also.

Also, I volunteered to teach refugee children at Resale Foundation in 2018, and I tried to help them to continue their education despite the interruptions and difficult conditions they faced. I also participated as a facilitator to teach marginalized youngsters important life skills in Hey Masar Organization in 2021, an education and personal-development program in a community school.

I totally agree with your organization's values that importance of protection of nature and environment and developing the concept of citizenship and innovation.

Through my voulnteering as I was a coordinator before in active citizen project with fadalia foundation with British council partnership which support entrepreneurship and innovation projects for youth.

Besides, I am thrilled in Sustainable development and climate change. So, I really want to live this incredible experience.

I participated in a World Youth Essay Competition 2018 by Green schools Essay. Moreover, I got an honor certificate. I am confident that practical experience will bring me a step closer to getting my master’s degree in Education for Sustainability.

I am very interested in history as I grew up in a culture heritage community and I like to live in forests because it is not available in my country. I really want to live this incredible experience in the nature.

As a teacher, I will gain new knowledge and skills from teaching like non formal educational ways. Besides, I desire to convey this experience to my country.

I am confident that practical experience will bring me a step closer to getting my master’s degree in Education for Sustainability.

I consider it a vibrant experience to get the opportunity to meet volunteers from all over the world and learn about their cultures and values.
