Letter of motivation
Dear Herr/Frau,
I am very glad to be applying for the Master of Applied Science program in Electrical Engineering (IMSEIT) offered by Hochschule Darmstadt. I am an Electrical Engineer and I graduated from the higher institute of Engineering at El-shrorouk Academy. I awarded a distinction honors degree with a GPA of 2.3/5.
Over a five-year in the university, I was a member in some international organizations like IEEE and AIESEC and Enactus. Furthermore, I was member in students Union for 2 years and in charity organization called Resalah . Cause of all these activities, I got the ability to know the meaning of being a good leader and how to inspire my team and get what we aimed to through believing in each other and what we have to do .Additionally, being in an international organization has given me the flexibility to deal with multicultural atmosphere .I also had an internship for 3 months to Russia with AIESEC team. I had the opportunity to develop myself in an international environment giving me the privilege to meet new people with different points of view.
After completion of my degree ,I joined Egyptian army as a soldier to finish my military service for a year and throughout this year I started to learn German language then begun the German language course in Gothe for 6 months from May 2015 to January 2016 .Next I started my work as electrical Engineer at Arrow Electronics for about seven months from May 2016 to December 2016 where my job was to check Data sheets for electronics parts and extract data from it , then I decided to work in another field cause I didn’t find what I search to achieve my goal . Currently I am working in “Advanced Energy Systems” ADES where I am responsible for any kind of electrical failure of the whole offshore Rig. It is a petroleum Company, actually it’s a great company where I learnt a lot but I discovered my passion towards electronics and embedded systems. So, to establish my dream, I joined some embedded systems courses and read about it and I decided to get my Master in Embedded systems in Germany to get more experience in details and learn professionally.
My professional goal is to work as a technical engineer in an international company like BMW, Valeo and Mercedes where I can widen my scope of knowledge in microelectronics systems and acquire new experiences regarding automotive technology.
In Germany, you can make the most of yourself where you can develop your intellectual abilities and personal skills freely and reach my full potential. Germany offers economic and political stability, which makes it an ideal place for you to study. German universities offer excellent teaching and research, ranking among the best in the world and provide outstanding academic programs, while universities of applied sciences offer a range of attractive, practice-oriented options. Many study programs combine theory and practice as IMSEIT at Hochschule Darmstadt.
Unfortunately, there is no Master degree in Embedded systems in any university in Egypt, so there is no way to get this degree from my country. In contrast, I learnt a lot related to this degree throughout my previous studies.
Darmstadt, the "city of science", is one of Germany's most attractive cities. I reviewed a lot of German cities, actually Darmstadt is not a typical industrial city but boasts lots of green areas where you can relax and unwind. Darmstadt is particularly proud of its artists' colony, the Mathildenhöhe, which was established over 100 years ago. North of the city centre is the building complex Waldspirale, an especially representative example of the revolutionary and colorful architecture of famous architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. In the city centre, behind the Technical University, is Herrngarten, Darmstadt's biggest and oldest park. This park was established back in the 16th century. Darmstadt has fifteen twin towns and frequently hosts intercultural festivals where you can sample international dishes and get to know other cultures.
I am much eager to adopt and know new technologies. I am really enthusiastic to attend a Master of Electrical Engineering in order to understand more about Embedded systems, especially about Digital Architecture and Microelectronic systems. The good reputation of high-quality education standards, an extremely distinguished faculty members, and research facilities are the factors which have motivated me to choose for my M.Sc. studies the Hochschule Darmstadt .Additionally it is a good opportunity for me to join industrial project in 3rd semester to improve my knowledge both practically and theoretically. I expect that this master program provides me chance to get to know with Embedded systems and affiliates me to the industry. I will be happy to provide any further information or documents if required. I look forward to your positive response. Thank you for your time and consideration.
with regards,
Amr Mohsen Ahmed
