Motivation Letter

Could someone help me review this letter please. Please note that there are some requirements to be met, hence some of the information.

LETTER OF MOTIVATION
“Entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship. It drives everything: Job creation, poverty alleviation, innovation.”- Elliot Bisnow. I think this quote sums up my motivation for wanting to be an entrepreneur. The need to encourage entrepreneurship and ensure that young people have the opportunity to start new businesses is acute both domestically in my country and internationally. I am a problem solver and it has always been my dream to be an entrepreneur working in the business sector where there is an ample scope for individual as well as organizational innovation and growth.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in Nigeria, the unemployment rate stands at 9.9% as of the first quarter (Q1) of 2016. This a sharp contrast to Germany where the unemployment rate stands at 4.5% and is the country with the lowest youth unemployment rate. This is a major problem in Nigeria and one I seek to solve once I have gained enough experience in the field as an entrepreneur. In Nigeria, the influx of labor into the workforce each year far outweighs the number of jobs available. By starting new businesses and creating job opportunities, I can curb the increasing unemployment rate.
I apply for the Master’s Programme in xxxx with a specialization xxxx to focus on developing knowledge, skills and understanding of how an innovative idea, product or process can be used to form a new and successful business, or to help an existing firm to grow and expand. Various courses like Economics of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Principles of Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Strategy, New Product and Services Development, Entrepreneurship Incubator, Strategies for Business Sustainability and Innovation and Management of Intellectual Property will provide me with a strong footing in the theoretical concept of xxxx. While offering both depth and breadth across this field, these courses put into perspective the importance and relevance of xxxx and the application of its fundamentals to the problems faced by my country and the world at large.
My four year undergraduate programme in Economics forms the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in the field of xxxx and why I think I am a good and qualified candidate for this programme. During my first and second year, as part of my degree course I specialized in Business Innovation and Management where I studied various subjects relating to diverse aspects of Entrepreneurship. For my third and final year, in order to increase my knowledge in the field, I further specialized in Accounting, Analyses and Audit in the faculty of Management and Entrepreneurship.
I am very versatile and can adapt easily to change. I speak two major languages-English and Russian. I am a good leader, outspoken and someone who can be at the forefront of change for my generation. One of my proud moments was when I was made the Deputy Senior Prefect in high school while also holding the position of the Sanitary Prefect. I am glad to mention that my qualities coupled with my good academic record were what granted me an undergraduate scholarship to study in Russia.
Education in the German university system is considered to be among the best in the world with graduate degrees that are accepted and estimated worldwide. It will help to integrate me seamlessly into the global community and to understand international processes way better than if I graduate from a university in my country.
Another major differentiation between the German university system and the university system in my home country is the internship programme which is an obligation for me. With this programme I am able to work in a world class company where I can use my theoretical knowledge in real life situations to gain experience. It also gives me the capacity to exploit knowledge and translate it into potential economic gains.
Economic freedom in Germany is on the rise. “The overall entrepreneurial environment remains one of the world’s most transparent and efficient.”- This was published by the Wall Street Journal in conjunction with the Heritage Foundation in an index charting 186 countries’ economic freedom. My country could stand to learn from this. Economic freedom is partly responsible for why Germany has become a seedbed for innovation and entrepreneurial initiative. Germany actively engages in shaping globalization and champions a sustainable global economic system, which offers opportunities to everyone. This is something my country solely needs for a positive economic momentum going forward.
Apart from the German economy, it will also be a great experience to visit Zalando SE- An electronic commerce company seated in Berlin. This will be useful in order to gain firsthand experience on how they operate and to learn from their modern internet culture. And with their acquisition of a 20% stake in Cheltenham-based software company Anatwine, it will be interesting to learn how they lure current and future clothing and accessory brands to sell their merchandise through Zalando.
I stand strongly that the xxxx scholarship offers the perfect blend of opportunities and experiences, so that it could be a rigid foundation on which the zenith of my career may lie.
However, there is still a lot for me to learn and I think I can gain a lot of knowledge through this scholarship. Therefore I am hoping you will take my application into consideration for your scholarship and give me the opportunity to study in Germany- The land of ideas.
