Letter Writing

Motivation letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply to International Business and Management course starting in September 2013.

I have chosen to study Business few years ago as I was always interested in the Financial World. After the decision was made I have begun my research of universities and courses available. Since that moment I have written a lot of letters to ones who study Business and finally realized that I have found the program I like most. The idea of the course seemed to suit me exactly well: being involved in the connection between different countries, people, mentalities and having a chance to develop the strategy of the company depending on it.

As a lot of pupils who decided which course they will study I tried to make my best involving myself in everything connected with it. While some of them tried to join a countless number of projects I decided to aim mainly on theoretical knowledge and researches: I begun to study business politics of international companies, watching documentaries and reading magazines related to Financial World. What is more, even not being the part of the team working for any type of project I always was glad to give a hand to those. Since I changed my school and entered the gymnasium four years ago I have indirectly participated in more than dive projects (two of them were related to my future studies of business & management).

On the other hand, even avoiding being involved directly in any kind of project, I made my best to take part in every others competitions. Since the first form I hadn’t missed any math competition. I participated in every “Kengura” contest (it is the most popular contest which demands not only math knowledge but also erudition) and never left the best 50 of town and the best 10 of school. Since sixth form I had missed only one Mathematic Olympics of Town (to participate in it you should be one of the three best in your school’s Math Olympics). While being one of the best in Math I also managed to have good results in other subjects. I never felt it difficult to solve a chemistry or physics task and even liked it. Biology lessons weren’t an exception and my parents even wanted me to become a doctor in future.

As both my parents have a full time job and my sister wasn’t old enough to help me, at one point of my life I realized myself being responsible for nearly all household duties. While not being involved in endless number of projects I still had quite a lot of free time which provided me with a chance to widen my horizons. At my free time I enjoy reading: being interested in the history made my read the whole collection of books related to the ancient Greece, Rome as well as ancient China and Japan at the period of feudal wars. The interest in eastern cultures made me pick up learning Korean as I would like to continue my career in Far East. This is also a main goal for me – a dream from my childhood to connect my life with east. The course I have chosen suits it well: even if I stay in Europe or move to USA I still will be able to work with those countries.

Thanks for your attention and looking forward to start my degree course.
Sincerely yours,
