Motivation Letter

Dear All,

Today I am preparing my motivation letter to take my master degree in Europe. I would like you to give your comments on my draft as it is the first draft. It might need some revisions in order to get a perfect letter related to the grammar, vocabulary, structure and so on.

Please kindly enlighten the way I think, the way I present my willingness.

Below is my motivation letter.

MOTIVATION LETTER

There was a time, 6 years ago, that was my first time to study law and fall in love with law as the time goes by. During the time I studied law in university, I began to realize that all human activities in all fields were controlled by law in order to procure and ensure they have run their business well. This circumstance stimulated me to learn more about law, especially in the field of business law.

I have been experienced working as an Associate Lawyer in one of reputable corporate law firms in Jakarta for 2 (two) and a half year commencing from January 20th, 2010 until June 29th, 2012. With the vast development on the business and globalization sector, and in order to improve and enrich my ability, my experience and also broaden my knowledge, I desire to continue my study for the higher level by going abroad to get my master degree in business law. This idea is what I dreamed since I was kid.

Working as an associate lawyer is one of the best experience I have ever had in my life. It creates myself to be more critical, and has changed my personality to be more details and specific in any issues. My responsibilities as an associate lawyer were conducting research, drafting agreements, conducting legal due diligence (LDD), preparing corporate documents, leading junior lawyers, and the most important thing is analyzing any legal issues, its consequences and finding the best way to solve the issues based on the prevailing law and regulations.

I am keenly interested in acquiring more theoretical knowledge and practical skills in business and corporate law, and I am highly motivated to pursue my study in master program of International Economic and Business Law in University of XXX. I believe that it will help me to strengthen my ability to analyze any legal issues in economic and business sector.

Having an international life experience is a very important thing for me in order to get a new idea and new perspective the way I think, the way I see the world as well as to make myself more self-confident and independent. It is the main purpose for me to be more qualified and at the end it helps me to implement what I have got when come back to Indonesia.

University of XXX is the best place for me to achieve my goals. As the one of the leading universities in the Netherlands as well as have a highly recognized master program in faculty of law, I am really sure that I can achieve my dreams and become more confident to improve my skills and ability in economic and business law.

With a solid foundation in academic, organizations and work experiences in law firm, I am confident that I will have skills, knowledge, experience, and contacts that will open visible perspectives for me to achieve desirable career in economic and business law, and hopefully, give contributions to increase the general level of economic and business law in Indonesia.
