motivation letter

i am writing a motivation letter for my master program at tum munich germany in automotive.i am worry about my failure in exam and i am not able to concise this. is it ok or do i need to concise it.

Being a student who was particularly interested in science got an opportunity to be a volunteer in charge of the chemistry laboratory just in 11th class in school of my town. Interest towards science, actually, ignited by a science library that was in my town in 9th class which is established by a person who went to California University and became a professor that was first library of my town. Very soon I became the member of this library. Actually the purpose of the membership was comic books but somehow I came across something that changed the direction of my life. Those were chemistry books by Zumdal Group Publication USA.
I was in ninth class and my medium was Hindi. Those all the books were in English. I could understand them partially because of academic English. But that much knowledge of English was not enough to satisfy my hunger for knowledge of science. Therefore, I decided to go to the city (Gwalior) nearby to learn English in 12th class. However my parents did not agree at first because they did not believe me taking care myself while living away from them. That is why I had to leave home without their permission.
There my new school teacher forced me not to change the medium when the board exam about to happen in same year but that all couldn’t stop me to change my medium however they were right i failed in three subjects. I was very sad but very soon i recollect myself and started new journey with new energy that time i thought that this is not my destination i had to go very far and next year i cleared my board exam with first grade.
I think failures are very important in human life they make people more strong and determined toward his or her goal. Person who failed and then get victory know the real story how to win and where should be taken care.
At the beginning I stayed with one of my friends who had lived in my hometown before shifting to the city. That friend helped me financially until I got some tuition classes of my new neighbour’s children. That was first time when I lived on my own earning. But before long because of some certain reasons I had to shift to another friend who was living in the same city this friend was awfully poor but intelligent and hard working enough to inspire to work hard as he was the topper of my school. He used to live in slum area and now I was with him. I could smell the sewer that was running behind our room. Meanwhile I think my parents realized my dedication and determination and they started supporting my financial side of studies.
By and large that experience was different I could see the new horizon of independence and by the decision I could explore my real potential of self management. I could be more focused on studies in my career. After passing senior secondary level I prepared one year for pre-engineering test of Madhya Pradesh and I got admission in one of the best colleges of the state. I went through brochure and catalogue of the all branches of engineering and finally mechanical engineering got my best attention. At the beginning of my first semester the problem of changed medium made me buy the Basic English medium science books from ninth class to 12th so that I could understand the advanced concepts. It took me almost one year to overcome the medium problem. It reflects on the score rise with every next semester. It was 56% in first semester and 79% in final semester including getting fourth rank in fifth semester among three thousand students.
I transformed myself from a student who had difficulty reading Californian university books, without family support, to an engineer having technical bent on mechanical engineering.
I acquired good practical knowledge of fundamental subjects of my field.
“Time and tide wait for none”, this we all know. Hence, having done an inspiring four year course in Mechanical Engineering, I would like to use this knowledge to do my Masters in Science. This would give me the opportunities to work on practical problems in details. For this, research would be of prime Importance with hands on experience in real time applications accompanied by in-depth Knowledge of subject.

I have done my major projects on airpower vehicle. That was the point where I got real interest and since then that field attracted me very much .During the preparation of above project, I frequently went through my engineering books for example, strength of material, machine design, material science, and fluid mechanics again.

Even I designed by myself a cylinder for my air power vehicle in addition to I modified a two stroke petrol engine moreover I designed several parts of machine which were required to my project without taking any major help. That was amazing I loved that while I doing this I took help of journals, magazines, research papers and internet then I realized the depth of the field of automobile and how much hand of knowledge I have that acted as real eye-opener for me.

After completion of my engineering my one professor found me very curious and interested in technical subjects because I always tried to go in the depth of the subject. I never studied for marks I wanted to know the things and would enjoy them so he offered me a position as a lecturer in my own college and finally I got opportunity as a lecturer and taught there subjects which were theory of machine, machine design ,dynamics of machine.

Furthermore I joined Gayatri Auto Industries as mechanical engineer in research and development department where I got opportunities to work with a team having responsibilities to select suitable material and check various properties of the material and related various stress in product. There I could implement theoretical knowledge on the practical ground again and learnt professional skills.

Now I want to work in the field of automobile as well as developing the innovative methods and making the existing hybrid systems more efficient.
While doing this, I want to continue my research in master that will finally lead me to PhD. Then I will devote my life whatever interest I will find in specific area of automotive field. I believe that I don’t know more things but I want to learn and my avid interest help me to accomplish this objective I firmly believe that things are unlimited to explore and I want to contribute my part for the science.

I feel cost is major factor in this for example India. Here government wants to run more and more green vehicles but I believe that when the cost is reachable to everyone where every individual can use green vehicle by his/her own investment. That is why I want to work on that how the cost can be optimized by using innovative techniques and for this I need detailed study with some guidance.

Browsing through the information brochure and the University's home page I feel that the breadth and depth of the courses coupled with a stimulating research environment seem to me the right mix for seminal work and pioneering research.
