Motivation letter

Hello There

since everyone seems to be posting cover letters in this part of the forum I'll post mine here as well. I'd be grateful for all comments and corrections. So far it is only a first draft...

The Letter if for the application for a sesond chance to attend a Physics class. Their requirements for the letter of motivation are

My name is ….. student at the university of…., student number….., demanding you to please allow me to study physics in this institution as physics would be the only subject missing on my 1^st year modules.
my very first year was a challenging one,I found myself in situations that I had no control over, My student number was blocked for the whole 1^st semester reason being that my study permit was not issued yet, I personally came to see you to possibly have an arrangement regarding the subject but that was unsuccessful, so I had to come back the following academic year to register for Physics, which I did, but my practicle marks did not allow me to qualify for the exam.
With everything on my side this time, I firmly believe that if I could get another chance I would definetly Perform better.Please Sir allow me to register for this module and attend your classes.
I would be very happy if you could decide in favour of my application.
