Dear Sir or Madam:

I would like to express my great interest in applying for the Master’s program in Economic Development and Growth.

Talking about my achievements I would like to note that the high school was one of places which helped me to mould my personality. I had the chance to go to one of the outstanding high schools inKazakhstanwhich name is Economical Lyceum. The focus of the studies was on Mathematics, Economics and technical sciences. I always maintained an excellent grade average and participated in school and Republic competitions in Mathematics and English. Finishing the school I was awarded the scholarship from theKAZNTUUniversitynamed Satpayev in geology specialty.

Although I did not study economics specifically at the University I took several courses in mathematics and economics which provoked my interest in economics more. During my university period I got the pleasure to be the editor of a magazine named “Property.kz” dedicated to business inKazakhstan”. Through my meetings with managers of companies and government agencies I developed a strong analytical and creative mind. I also worked as an agent on developing business at the HSBC BankKazakhstan. During working at the HSBC BankKazakhstanI was involved in all business matters, including administrative, financial and marketing functions. In addition to my daily work activities I took a series of training in sales and marketing. The work experience at the international renowned Bank gave my understanding real international standards ,developed my knowledge in accounting and finance and increased my interest in the field of economics and international business. After one year work at the HSBC BankKazakhstanI became an Account Manager- Sales of the Halliburton Landmark. In my position I develop working relationship with client’s management and I am responsible for maximizes and sustains profitability of the client and market share by matching the total array of the company’s technical, commercial and operational capabilities to the client’s needs. Almost three years of experience working in diverse positions and companies has broadened my outlook and allowed me to view the world from a different vista.

There are many reasons, why I am interested in participating in the Economic Development and Growth specialty.

Economics is one of the most interesting subjects to study because the program offers a unigue set of disciplines course that attracted me. But there is one discipline that I am exactly eager to learn. That is Innovation Economics.

At the present time, taking into account the rapid globalization, most countries have moved or started the formation of a new technological structure of their economies.Kazakhstanfaces following main issues; the raw materials orientation, lack of integration with the global economy, the low level of inter-regional and sectorial integration within theKazakhstan. According to the UN Kazakhstan is not even among the top 20 high-tech nations of the world. Despite opportunities and venture capital inKazakhstan, company’s ability to innovate, the situation with the innovative development ofKazakhstan’s economy is extremely difficult. In summary it should be noted that the trend of world development demonstrates the growing impact of innovation on economic growth. The success of the economy provided only with new knowledge and technological progress. So today the most promising innovative model is overcoming the technological backwardness, modernization of basic sectors, strong legal regulation in innovation activities.

My career aspirations after graduating are to obtain employment with a government agency in Kazakhstan in the field of innovation economics, I want to be positioned to help with various aspects of the issue that so many organizations are facing and to try to generate solutions to complex problems so that I can contribute my portion to the development of countries. I consider the Master degree in Economical Development and Growth will provide deeper theoretical knowledge and skills and contribute to reaching my goal. The reason of my motivation to study abroad is that I am confident of that it is crusial to get in touch with people from other countries and cultures and to understand cross-cultural management of countries with high level of international economics in order to evaluate business in a global context. One more reason is the high standard of universities and highly professional staff.

I am certain my knowledge in economic topics, professional experience, strong interest, my eagerness to educate myself make me a highly suitable candidate for this Master program.

I would also like to thank the European Commission for moulding such program which gives a great opportunity for students from all over the world to obtain best education from top-universities inEurope.
