Motivation letter
The purpose of this letter is to supply information about myself, my education and my future academic interests and plans, since I would like to apply for a research position in your institute.
I graduated from MSC degree in Mechanical engineering with honors (second student in MSC course)at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) Tehran, Iran. I also hold a four- year bachelor's degree at Tehran Polytechnic.
My aim after completing my master's degree was always to continue my academic studies as I have always been an ambitious student who thoroughly enjoy carrying out research. I won CARIPARO PhD fellowship from mechanical engineering at Padova university, Padova , Italy after finishing my master course . My central research during my PhD is plasma surface and material engineering. I was working on numerical simulation of helicon plasma source and design a new diagnostic for it. I finished my PhD research very earlier than expected time, so I decided to gain some experimental experience regarding the material processing and laser plasma engineering.
My application as a scientific researcher was successful at FOM institute so I was invited to do some experimental research on laser spectroscopy in plasma material engineering at FOM institute for plasma physics in the Netherlands. I have been working at FOM institute for 9 months.
In addition to that I attained a high level of laboratory skills owing to one year of experience as a Laboratory Assistant at Mechanical engineering department at Tehran Polytechnic.
In my future professional development I will be looking for research positions as the way to broaden my knowledge in analyzing and evaluating processes with theoretical and experiment postulates and to obtain more experience as a researcher. Equipped with a good understanding of the academic principles, I will be able to adapt and expand my knowledge in order to meet new challenges.
Applying my gained knowledge, I will be capable of effectively analyzing problems, making plans for necessary actions, carrying out laboratory experiments with patience and precision , providing complete documentation and presenting my ideas and conclusions.
I enjoy learning and exploring possibilities and new ideas. I have always tried to apply my theoretical knowledge in practice.
I hope that the above experiences, knowledge, and skills make me convenient for filling the mentioned vacancy at your institute
