Motivation letter

Hello, I need a motivation letter for a master program. I feel I am not doing it well, so if somebody could look at it and post me some comments it would be great help for me...thanks in advance.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Masters Degree program in Public and International Affairs.

I have always been interested in international communications and that lead me to take a 5 year program of International Relations in ABC University. I graduated from the university in May 2005 with Master Degree in International Relations. Although my degree focuses on the political communication I took several courses in economics, which provoked my interest in economic issues of globalization such as the preservation of social-economic well-being and the security of global economic order.

By the end of my studies I have gained knowledge of four foreign languages and developed my communication skills. I learned a range of skills as analytical thinking and information evaluation. However, the emphasis of my study was to understand the fundamental global political processes. And this previous education, gave me the opportunity to have a clear understanding of the most important global political processes. They also created the desire to broaden my attainments concerning similar issues in order to obtain my career objectives.

Public and International Affairs is one of the most interesting subjects to study because the program is multidisciplinary and offers a unique set of disciplines courses that I am exactly eager to learn. It attracts me by the variety of the subjects I am interested in. I would like to strengthen my professional qualification and skills, and I believe that this program will enable me to pursue both my career and intellectual aspirations. One more reason to choose this particular program is the high standard of universities and highly professional staff. It would be superfluous to state that the program is really top one. Consequently, I realize that I will be required a strong commitment. I am sure that I will justify the high confidence entrusted to me.

I am convinced that such a program will help me to achieve my ambitious professional targets. I plan to work in a nongovernmental or international organization which will focus on human rights. With a solid foundation in academic theory on Public and International Affairs gained through the Masters Degree program in Public and International Affairs at University of XYZ, I am confident that I will have the skills, knowledge and contacts which will enable me to pursue a career as a policy analyst in a research institution on an international level.
