Motivation Letter

Hi everyone. I have here a motivation letter. It would be really kind if someone could overlook it quicky and tell me how he/she like it and what can be improved.

Herby I apply to the graduate programme at your university. Since October 2005, I study International Finance at Nuertingen-Geislingen University and will graduate, in August 2009, with a Bachelor of Science degree. The emphases throughout my studies have been to understand the fundamental concepts of finance and their impact on the modern society. During my studies I have also completed two semesters of progressive studying, abroad, at California State University Fullerton in the United States. During those two semesters I increased my English skills, significantly and furthermore broadened my knowledge and sensitivity to foreign cultures. I have also had three previous successful internships; two of them were completed, during my stay, in the United States and one back in Germany. My tasks during the internships, in the United States, were to conduct research about competitors, market situations and customers and moreover, provide financial forecast to different firms whereas, in Germany, I worked in the treasury department of Mercedes-Benz.

In my search for a fitting programme, I came across the intriguing offer of yours. This opportunity attracted my attention immediately because I have been determined and motivated to find the best university and without any doubt your university can be considered as one of the finest, as it is always ranked in the top positions. Furthermore, I have been delighted to see the well balanced courses of yours, than completely meet my expectations. As they cover all the areas I later will need to successfully proceed in my career. In addition, I have been always interested in studying in the United Kingdom because the culture and the way of life of British people interested me. Also, as the British financial market is the strongest within Europe, it is just a logical step for me to complete my master degree in the UK and learn form the best.

I see this master programme as a chance to further increase my knowledge and promote my aspirations to become part of senior management team. I am also more than confident that this master programme will help me to develop my professional and personal skills which are also crucial stepping stones for my future career. I positive obtaining the master degree from your university will allow me to better understand the financial principles. Those financial principles will provide the necessary background for me, to be anticipated and react correctly to ever-changing environments.
