Motivation letter

Could anyone of us correct my letter? Thanks in advance.

I decided at the age of 18 that I wanted to be a scientist. I actually have a passion for chemistry, and I have chosen this field because I believe I can excel in it. My desire is to pursue my PhD degree in superconductors, and I am intent on finding a program that is internationally oriented, allowing me to broaden my horizons, develop my awareness and further my career goals, a program which will expose me to multicultural experiences and multi-disciplinary perspectives in current research.

I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from . As a class leader and University third-rank holder, my passion to pursue the doctoral degree was kindled on further down the road. I joined as junior research associate in Jubilant research center and then in Molecular connections later. I was promoted to team leader as I acquired good knowledge of medicinal chemistry. During this time, I developed my professional skills and improved my ability to work hard and with sincerity, persistence, motivation, and resilience. In addition to that I came to know about the role of metal in biology and electrochemistry in-depth. I am always curious and enthusiastic, since I know that to pursue my scientific career; I must learn more about Superconductors.

To add up my career in the research, I have been working as a Project Trainee at Indian Institute of Science, . My acquisition over here is exploring Rheometer , Thermogravimetric analysis, Differential Scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, Confocal Microscopy. My experience in Indian Institute of science will render to explore my PhD topic in **** University. Above all, **** university has versatile cutting edge techniques like EDX, ICP-OES, Powder X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy etc.

Why I have at most interest on superconductors? Superconductors are the zero electrical resistance conductors at very low temperature. In the intervening 20 years, new materials in the high temperature superconductor family have been discovered. But still scientists from all over the world are looking for a room-temperature superconductor, a material which is yet to be discovered. All these questions make my mind to examine about the superconductors.

I basically have more interest on transition metals which enhance the superconductivity very well. As superconductors are playing vital role in day to day applications such as in high performance transformer, power storage devices, electric power transmission etc, which shoots up my thirst on superconductors. As has provided pool of opportunity to the international students, I would like to pursue my higher studies there. To initiate this step, I have completed my basic German course from Goethe-Institut, Max Mueller Bhavan, . I strongly believe that my keen interest and the opportunity provided by the **** university will enable me to find novel high temperature superconductors which indeed serve the best to the world. I would like to become a successful scientist with your aid. I am grateful for the **** organization to consider my application.

Kindest regards,
Keerthana.
