motivation letter

Dear All,
this is my second time writing to this forum with same topic. I guess, and this time no one will answer me.
well here it is Emotion: smile

Dear Madam or Sir,

Herewith I would like to submit my application fo ***** study scholarship.

In April 2006 I gradutes on biology at the University of "*******". Altough the curriculum was broad, the work on my diploma thesis provoked clear interest in molecular and cell biology with human focus. This work gave me an opportunity to learn and apply basic moelcular biology techniques: PCR based methods, isolation of DNA/RNA and more sophisticated techniques such as cell culture and silencing of RNA. My diploma work was evaluated with the higest grade.

Out of the university curricula I had worked voluntaraly as research assistant on molecular diagnostic project fo detection of ***, which included more than 6.000 swabs and biopsies. This work I had presented on Inernational Medical Scientific Student Congress organized by *******.

I would like to continue my studies in this area and receive MSc and PhD degrees. Hoever, altough our **** society makes efforts to improve the quality of univeristy education, the studies in which I am interested are stil the future to come. Continuing my education in my home country would be nonstimulative and dificult. The lack of sophisticated laboratory instruments will confine any bold ideas. Besides, studenta are found to repeatedly do thesis in the area that already had been explored.

Given my interest and experience in the field of biomolecular science, I am eager to deepen my knowledge and specialize in cell and molecular biology. I find very interesting working on project, which investigation can lead to curring diseases with genetic background. Programs of my choice are preparing these ideas by building up basic knowledgem training the reasoning, educating the aspiratns to resolve scientific problems.

Financing the studies and the living costs should also be envisaged. I finished my graduate studies with financial help of my parents, but my family cannot support my further education. In this sence, **** scholarship will be of invaluable help to broaden my scientific knowledge. Studying in ***** will be an exellent start of fulfilling my dreams to work in research center and become a scientist.

The sponsorship and encouragement of education and sciences are in my opinion the only resonable way into the future. In **** there is a strong will amoung older and younger people to change the society by the example of the western world, but there are still persistent habits from the past, which slow the inevitable transiton process. I am comvinced that the only tranquil way of transition and progress, is to educate the future leaders pf scientific nd political life by practical example. Only quality education could develop our country.

Being convinced that education is future, I am applying for ******* scholarship, in order to be able to continue my studies and pursue a MSc degree. In case you have questions, I would be happy to furnish you with any additional information regarding my certificates (translations) and degree.

Thank you for kindly perusing trough my application. I looki forward to your positive pesponse.

Yours sincerely, *******

Is it too short, should I explain more some of the paragrafs!?!

Hello, sorry we missed you last time round Mind your spellings, there are lots of daft errors and typos in this and your message. It's rather lazy of you to leave these for us to pick up, as they are clearly not caused by any spelling difficulty, just carelessness. I've corrected some but have left the rest for you to find and sort out, and just concentrated on the grammar from para 4.

Thank you nona the brit! Yours suggestions made my letter glibber.

I honestly apologize for my carelessness. I had no intentions for you to correct my misspellings. There is no excuse! For the 4th para, I also think is the weakest part.

Can I ask you for your frank opinion! If, you feel competent! Do you find my motivation letter strong? Is it too short? Should I ex

Do you have to complete a form as well as the letter, giving details of your financial situation?

If not, then I'd put in something about your parents' income and why it will not support you through this period of study.

No, in the application form there is no space where I can explain my financial situation. But it seems to me that kind of info is too personal! I would think about your suggestion.
And if I wrote something about the income, than I will mention it with more delicacy.

So if this is the only thing that I should explain more, and you were the part of the addmition committee, I think tha

I'm not suggesting that you post such personal information here but scholarships are often awarded taking financial situations into account. I don't think that just saying 'my parents cannot finance further studies' will suffice as anyone could write that, whether it were true or not. I'd put down some details on family income if I were you to prove your point. Also make the point that you will no
