Hello!!! My name's Lilu and actually, I'm a newbie on your forum.
Well.... recently I was asked to write a motivation letter: WHY

do I want to go to France to learn French??? Nice questions, finally:)) So, the below is my motivation letter and I'd really appreciate if you could share your ideas about it. Sometimes I have problems with cohesion - maybe that's the case? Then... I tend to use elaborate wording. And... is this the proper usage of vis-a-vis?
Thanks a million for your time.

I graduated from *** University in 2003, majoring in translating/interpreting. My degree was focused both on linguistic and cultural aspects of the learned languages (English and German), professional work also meant developing strong communication and interpersonal skills. Owing to the substantial experience, I undertook a position of *** in ***, where I’m working till know.
My stay with this company can be considered as a mutually beneficial interaction: I always tried to contribute to the company’s growth to the best of my professional and personal abilities. Guess, such approach was crucial for my employer Mr. *** to offer me a professional opportunity to study French at *** (WELL.. I'm not really happy about this sentence!!!)
With a solid foundation in linguistics, focused on translating/interpreting both in English and German and given the strong linguistic affinity of the languages, I’m confident I’d be able to reach conversational ability, develop comprehension and reading skills in French within the period of the intensive course I’m applying for. Moreover, studying the language in native environment would also help to appreciate the differences between cultures, to learn more about specific cultural notions and to benefit from a rich world culture vis-à-vis. Learning French will definitely help in developing critical and creative thinking skills; enable to pursue the efficient co-working with Mr. *** and contribute to developing a prospective linguistic project on my return.
Thank you very much for considering my request.

Probably, more reasons for learning French crop up?
