I am writing to apply for the Master’s Degree program in XX at XX University. My ambition is to become competitive in job market, face different cultures and expand my life skills. My aim is to work in an international field related to Finance. Therefore I would like to gain a deeper theoretical knowledge in quantitative analysis, derivatives strategy, and financial engineering methods. I believe a university with a high reputation like XX is the best place to achieve my career objectives.

I hold a 4 year bachelor’s degree in Physics from the XX University. My major subjects were in exact science such as mathematical analysis, linear algebra and analytic geometry, furthermore I achieved excellent grades on differential and integral equations (A), function of complex variables (A), basis vector and tensor analysis(B). I have acquired not only quantitative abilities but also ability of applying theory to practical basis and evaluation in getting high marks in related subjects such as mathematical methods of physics (A), probability theory and mathematical statistics (B). My university thesis project was ion implantation spectrum characteristics study through mathematical approach. Thus, my ability of flexible and precise use of mathematical methods, analytical techniques was graded with 94 per cent success.

Graduating from University I stand in front of problem of finding job, as it was very 2008, peak of financial crisis and numerous redundancies. Fortunately, I got a chance to be interviewed and forced through high competency to get a job as executive member in Korean company specialized in electronic market development in the area. Throughout my working period (almost 3 years) here I have been awarded best employee award for hard working and loyalty and became one of the four key members of Department.

Analyzing cost innovation in region and verifying by subsidiaries I proposed labor cost improvement plan. We got result as 9 per cent service quality improvement after realizing this plan. Next I was responsible for finding data-related fraud issues through statistical analysis, analysis of logic and reduce possibility. To meet a goal I visited 12 branches auditing them in order to look insight factors. After my writing of analysis scenario and statistical hypothesis of process, it was approved by managers and involved to regular work process.

Working for LG was also my best practice in team-working and first close facing to other culture representatives. Being a part of young and ambitious team I was able to experience challenge of arguing my own point of view and managing others, from which I learned a main lesson that the enthusiasm motivates others.

“At age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be a Napoleon. And my ambitious have been growing steadily ever since” as said Salvador Dali, my ambitious to grow brought me upon my choice. Participating on business projects creating I got basic aspects of business and role of analyzing and evaluating issues and got passionate on the subject. My considerations about career prospects in it made me understand that obtaining master’s degree I will be able to grasp full range of techniques of analyzing and evaluating and better understand overall market behavior.

In my watching, I stopped my choice on XX University because there I can challenge facing with best future candidates to key financial positions all over the world and, of course, to use excellent study opportunities. I selected, particularly, XX program because of its primary focus on aspects of finance with the exception that students already possess a strong background of mathematics.
