Motivation for masret program-urgen

hello ,

i really need your help in review my motivation latter

thanks a lot

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to apply for the Master’s program in BIOENGINEERING AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

I'm a third year student in the department of biotechnology engineering department of the Ben-Gurion University, Israel. During my years of study I have taken a big variety of advanced biology courses such as: "The Cell" which gave me the Foundations of cell biology and cellular variety, the techniques used to investigate cell structure, function and advanced cell culture techniques and cell based bioengineering and biotechnology moreover the course gave a deep look on cancer and the aspects of the disease. Microbiology course that helped me to build a good base in bacteriology, Growth characteristics of microorganisms, batch & continuous cultures. Bacterial habitats and the transformations of organic matter, extreme environments, the archaebacteria. Viruses: structure, systematic, reproductive cycle & lysogeny. Micro biogeochemistry. Genetics of microorganisms & metabolic control mechanisms. Symbiosis & pathogenesis. Biotechnology.

Moreover I took two courses in Biochemistry which gave me a big knowledge in the functions of all the units of the cells in the molecular level , Bioenergetics and Metabolism of cell's such as Krebs cycle; fatty acid oxidation; ATP synthesis; photosynthetic reactions; macromolecule biosynthesis; Hormonal regulation. And other biology courses. In addition to those courses I participated a number of labs in which I applied all the theoretical knowledge and techniques from the courses. the lab of biochemistry I dialed with Purification isolation of a specific protein from a natural tissue along with Purification isolation of the same protein from a genetic engineered .furthermore I had a lab in microbiology in which I applied Growth inhibition of bacteria by antibiotics. Staining bacteria. Isolation of bacteria on solid media. Growth curve of bacteria and the effect of environmental factors. Enrichment and isolation of soil bacteria, Regulation of enzymatic activities.

In addition to all the chemistry and biology courses I too engineer courses such as the courses in transfer (Mechanics of Fluids, heat transfer and mass transfer) bioreactors which gave me a strong background in engineering and assist me to examine the biology and chemistry from an engineer point of view.

I strongly believe that it's very important to distribute to the society you live in and I perform this believe by doing the following volunteering activities in which I have taken part. First. I have been working for two years with people with Mental retardation, this job required deep study about different types of retardation such as Down syndrome- trisomy 21, and assisting work with those people.

Secondly out of a high interest and motivation I have been volunteering in a hospital's research laboratory for stroke examining - rapidly developing loss of brain function(s). In this research I was examining rat's brains that suffered from strokes which were caused by different methods and with an assistant of computer programs I brought the exact damage percentage of the brain for each method and the parts of brain that were injured.

My aim is to work in a research field related biotechnology with specificity in the medicinal/ pharmacology therefore I find which is well known for its big pharmacology industry a good opportunity for me. I believe that in your academy I will find the best option for my master degree thanks to the big verity of courses in the field, a very good practical knowledge based on a very good laboratories offers in this program and of course a high level of academic medicinal from whom I will be able to receive the tools for my future.

Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.

Sincerely yours,
