MOST vs THE MOST

Most vs The Most

The person who knows (the) most about computers isn’t here.

This part of the rug is dirtiest because that’s where people walk (the) most.

Which word would you use?

  • The furthest south/most south I’ve ever been in the city was here. (how would you say this?)

  • I don’t need to be/stay concentrated to do this type of work.

  • I don’t want to have to spend the day with/in my wet shoes.

  • The boss can check to see what ever employee has been doing on their station (by) using the employees access code. (does this make sense or would you say it differently? BY OPTIONAL?

Thank you
