Most schools require students to wear uniforms. Argue for or against school uniforms for school students.

The topic of uniforms has been around for the past recent year. Although wearing uniform is believed to foster the sense of community, and teach discipline, I believe there are way of disadvantages in wearing uniforms than advantages.
First and foremost, uniform takes away students’ freedom. As long as teenagers have been interested in fashion, there have been conflict over school dress codes. Wearing a uniform eliminates students’ freedom of expression as it limits how we can express ourselves. As a result, children should be able to wear what they like as uniform can hamper with the individuality of a child.
Secondly, uniforms can be distressing for students. Some kids may not be comfortable wearing a certain kind or type of garment that may include school uniforms too. This can be due to the fabric, the fit, or the cut of the uniform. Wearing itchy and tight clothes in class make it difficult for a student to focus on academics. Therefore, making students wear one type of cloth all year long can make them very uncomfortable, and can lead to sparse learning.
Thirdly, uniforms waste a lot of money. Unless the government sponsors the cost of uniform for the citizen, the expenses on school uniform will have to be taken care of by the students’ parents. It’s common knowledge that not all families can afford to buy uniforms for their children, especially when there is an exclusive deal between schools and suppliers. In situations like this, buying regular clothes may be much less expensive than paying for school uniforms.
In conclusion, I don't recommend wearing a uniform because it brings more disadvantages than benefits. Parents should weigh the upsides and downsides of school uniforms for kids before deciding whether to send a child to a school in which wearing a uniform is mandatory.
