Mosquitoes

What do you do to fight off a mosquito that's feasting on your neck?

Hand-slap it? Is there any other more elegant expressions to escribe the action?

Thank you

Hitting yourself to kill a bug isn't really an elegant action. I would say slap or squish.

I agree, unless you're fighting your way through a rainforest.

So there is no such thing as a 'hand-slap'?

So, you can't say 'hand-slap'? Because swatting is not necessarily done with your hands, and I'm trying to describe the action of someone who continuously slaps his arms, neck etc with his hands to ward off the mosquitoes.

Hi,

Why not just say someone who continuously swats ("slaps" is not bad either, slappimg is what he is doing, after all) his arms, neck etc with his hands?

'Hand-slap' sounds very awkward.

Best wishes, Clive
