Morning or Good Morning

In conversation, people say "Morning" instead of "Good Morning (the formal way we normally learn in greeting in ESL class)".

I am just wondering why is that like that.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Because it's quicker and easier to say. Such shortening is very common, eg 'bye instead of goodbye. However, 'good morning' is not at all unusual.
