Moreover/however/hence/rather

(Moreover/however/hence/rather/never the less) when we should use those in the sentence in our practical life and what exactly the meaning of those?Please give some example(s) so that i can differ them at the time of communication.

I think in English literature these phrases are called 'Discourse Markers'.

I'm not fully sure, but I'm rather sure "hence" means "so", or "therefore". "I tried to do it well; hence, I succeeded".
