Hi teachers!
Today zi am going to ask about the usage of more than and less than. I have been looking up them in many dictionaries but still very confused.
Here are my questions.
1. In korea, wr say more than 2, not greater than 2. Is the former the same as the latter? Are they interchangeable?
2. Do "more than 2" and "less than 2" mean including "2" ?
3. If not, how do you normally say 2 and more ?
As always, thank you so much native teachers.
P.S. Some English Grammar books written by Koreans say that If you say more than 2 or less than 2, it implies 'including 2'.
However, other books say it does not include 2.

No, they are not interchangeable. You can own more than two pets, but not greater than two pets. The number 4 is greater than 2, but it is not more than two, yet four cats is more than two cats.
