more than

Hi,

My question is very simple : I'd like to know if it's possible to say something like :
I love him more than everything.
I've heard many times the phrase more than anything in this world but I don't know if more than everything is acceptable.

Thanks

Anonymous I'd like to know if it's possible to say something like : I love him more than everything. It's not idiomatic English. It sounds like it could be a word for word translation from a Romance language.

  • English uses anything in a lot of places where other languages use everything .
