Grammar

more repetitive

Hi,

"She cried whenever she looked at a picture of her lost child."
That sentence is in a dictionary. I wanted to make it sound more repetitive and wrote the following sentence:

"She was constantly crying every time she looked at a picture of her lost child."
But I'm really not sure if it serves my purpose. Could you give me your opinion?

Thank you.

I meant something like:
She always looked at that picture and (always) cried.
Oh.
"She always looked at a picture of her lost child and was crying."
Is it okay?
