more or most ?

Hi,

  1. Beer or wine? Which do you like more?

  2. Beer or wine? Which do you like (the) most?

  3. Beer, wine, coke or water? Which do you like (the) most?

  4. Beer, wine, coke or water? Which do you like more?

  5. Generic question... What kind of car do you like (the) most?

  6. Generic question... What kind of car do you like more?
I was told more is used when there are two things, most when there are three or more things. But I have read in this forum sometimes people use most like ex. no. 2, that is, when there are only two things involved.

So, 1, 3, and 5 should be fine, but what about the others? Are they heard, accepted or in use?

1 , 3 , and 5 are fine, and the others are heard and used-- few native speakers actually stop to count how many items they are comparing as they speak.

If one were making an assumption, couldn't one say "Of all the alchoholic drinks, which do you like most? Beer or wine?
