People in this class have the good knowledge in mathematics.

Which sentence(s) is/are correct?

Also should I use "The people" instead of "People"?

The preposition 'of' the correct in this context.

'Have knowledge' sounds awkward to me. I would write--

People in this class are knowledgeable about mathematics.
