More of vs More

Hi,
I want to ask you guys about More vs More of.
when i compare between two sentences, which is "I'm more disappointed, and I'm more of a disappointed". The former one is the one we use often so I know exactly what that means, but the latter one is confusing because it contains "more" so I thought it's something to do the amount, but when I guess the meaning in the sentence, I see it as "rather".

What does "more of " exactly mean?
