Can I say this?

Mary is more beautiful than John is handsome.(=Mary stands in a higher position in terms of beauty compared with other girls than John stands in terms of handsomeness compared with other boys./The number of girls Mary is more beautiful than is higher than the number of boys John is more handsome than./Mary enjoys a greater admiration for her beauty among girls than John enjoys for his handsomeness among boys.)
