More and more young people from wealthy countries

It is true that a larger number of youngsters are willing to devote their time to voluntary work in poorer communities. I believe that there are some reasons why young people desire to do activites, and both sides including individuals and communities are beneficial.

There are two reasons why young generation spend their time on doing unpaid work. I argue that the main motivation behind their participation in voluntary organizations is their sympathy for people who are less fortune. Their purpose is to share hardships that numerous people have been struggling to suffer in their daily life. Another reason would be that practical experiences they acquire from voluntary work could enhance their resume. It is more likely that they could make a good impression on recruiters and have more job prospects.

Both undeveloped communities and individuals could derive benefits. in terms of individuals, due to first-hand experiences, they are able to master vital soft skills such as team-working, problem-solving which can support their future job. For example, by making plans and holding fundraising events, youngsters will be given more opportunities to work in groups, make representation and deal with unexpected problems. This makes them more mature and confident in the future working environment. Besides, communities could be given supports from teenagers' enthusiasm. They could contribute their effort to teach literacy and numeracy for children and build houses to provide shelters for poor families.

In conclusion, there are some clear reasons for this volunteering trend and i believe that everyone benefits. It can be said to be a win-win situation
