Could you tell me what the difference is between 'differences' and 'more differences' in the following sentence, in terms of meaning or nuance? Actually, that was the first time that the speaker had introduced the differences to the audiences though he used the word, 'more differences', so I can't understand why he said so. Thank you in advance.

Speaker: Okay. Today, we went into more differences between UK & US English.

The only way that makes sense is if he went into some differences before. It sounds like he did so on a previous day.
