Monitor

Which monitor is better?

I want to buy an LCD for better protecting my vision. Most of the LCD monitors in computer market, at least in China, seem crappy to display TV program. Nevertheless, LCD TV sets have an excellent performance in displaying TV program (but the price of a LCD TV is about 1.33 times as higher as the price a comp LCD.)

What I want to know is: Is it acceptable that I buy one LCD TV set instead of a comp LCD as the monitor connected to my host Emotion: computer? I wonder if it can show small letters clearly as a laptop computer does? I've gone to some local stores to inquire, asking saleswomen to connect the LCD TV set to a computer to see whether it can show small letters clearly, but they told me they didn't have any comp to do so.

I've learnt a lot from you.
Thank you.

Only a little question remains:

However, the price of an LCD TV is about 1.33 times higher than the price of a computer LCD.

"Higher than"? Originally I referred to:

A computer LCD: $1000
An LCD TV set: $1330

Is it the same as what you described?
