monetary factors

I want to know if you use monetary factors for a sentence like this.It's from my book which I'm learning this semester and I guess the author isn't a native. I've read in many dictionaries that monetary means : relating to money esp. all the money in a country. In my language it's mostly used in 'monetary policies' or something like that. Is it the same in English?
Monetary factors influence women to work.
